double celebration

Aside from me, it's my sister's birth month too.  Her b-day comes 3 days after mine, we celebrated once again our b-days at Hyatt Hotel.  We had a relaxing weekend and fun family bonding.  I personally wanted to try out the casino, but my mom didn't allow us to do so.  On our first night, we just rested and stayed in the room. Recharging from the tiring week that passed.

We swam the following day and tried their hot chocolate.  The pool area was good and big.  They have a pool for the kids, jacuzzi and a big pool.  It's nice and not crowded since the kids have their own place.  The hot chocolate was also good and creamy.

This is the big pool for adult. (The photos were taken by my husband. )

We had lunch after swimming.  The buffet at Market Cafe was less compared to the other hotels but the food was great.  They had steak and ribs, variety of pasta, indian, korean and japanese cuisine.  The dessert area was perfect for me, they serve almost all my favorite. From the variety of fruits which I love, they serve ice cream and halo halo, sweet pastries and they have my all time favorite chocolate fountain . =) I'll upload the photos on my post for the market cafe.

a year wiser

I turned a year wiser and happier.

The year that passed was a heap of experience of both good and bad.  I am grateful for that, because it made my decision making better.  I am just as grateful and happy to have it celebrated with my family.  A simple and quiet dinner was more than enough.  I am so blessed that what else could I ask for?  There may be things that I lack, but I have learned to wait for the right time.  And trust that He will give it to me, in HIS time.

To start my b-day, my hubby and I had a very late dinner or should I say midnight meal (if there's such) at JT's manukan in Greenhills after work 12 midnigt (just in time for my bday).  The place had bigger space than before, comparing to the last time that we went there.  Anyway, I had paa and batchoy which was really good while my hubby had pitso (pecho).  I got my first gift from my hubby, skittles.. :) It was not much, but it was my favorite.  He loves giving gifts in partial.  So, I was expecting the 2nd gift. hehe.

Paa - leg and thigh

batchoy with egg.. yumyum

I also love chapters, there's another celebration of my bday with my mom and dad and siblings. :) Overall, my day was really great.  I got to spend them with my family and my friends greeted me.

before summer is over

Last weekend, May 19, we finally went to the beach.  A long overdue outing is what we really need and we finally had it.  With my hubby's wavemate's we went to Lobo, Batangas.  We went there by bus, it was a 2.5 hr travel.  From manila to batangas was 1.5 hr and from batangas city to lobo, batangas is another 1 hr.  The road from batangas city to lobo batangas was one hell of a trip, for those who are non traveller's because they call it "bitukang manok" (chicken's intestines) because the zigzag was crazy. We all felt dizzy at one point because of the road, but there's no other way to go there so we were left with no choice.

Reaching the beach made everything worth it.  The place was nice and serene. I personally enjoyed the stay.  I was able to unwind, enjoy the air and the sun while it's still scorching hot, watch the waves of the beach and play with the sand.

colorful flags, summer is still here

back to reality with flare

2 weeks had passed and haven't written anything since then.  I had to catch up with work since I was out for 3 weeks.  Paperworks and overtime plus tons of email I need to attend to. *duhh*
As I catch up at work, I am catching up with my writing.  Like what I promised myself, I will write to release and relieve myself from the stressful reality.

I was excited to go back to work.  Funny though, because there's no reason to be excited of.  Anyway, I am not a real fan of skirt and dresses.  And as per my doctor's advice, I had to wear skirt or dress to prevent  shingles from recurring since the weather is really freaking hot.  So, I had to follow her.  Here's what I wore to work.

I never realize that dressing up for work requires tedious work. Hehehe. As I am more of a slacks/pants type of girl.  I must admit, I enjoyed raiding my closet for a mix and match for the skirt.  I am not a pro when it comes to this but I am really trying to learn. :)

finally

Finally, after 3 weeks of getting sick I could say that I am fit now to go back to work and to do the usual stuff.  I must say I felt half hearted when I got sick.  Half of me enjoyed the time I had to enjoy to rest and stay at home and discover many things like online shopping, yoga, books to read, and places that I plan to visit with my husband.  While the other half, is sad because I can't do the usual stuff I do since I have a hard time moving around with my sickness.

Anyway, today marks the start of my renewed life.  Yup, you heard me right renewed.  Like this blogging, I made a vow to myself not to stressed myself again.  Swear not to sweat the small stuff again instead find something positive in all things that I do (consider the not so good things).

I am quiet excited to go back to work, 3 weeks of rest and recharge makes me feel like I am ready to battle with all the paperworks I have left.  And most of all, my normal and renewed routine.  Included in the renewed routine is the schedule of my husband at work.  The challenge to juggle the time we could spent together makes me more excited.

Wish me luck on this renewed life I swear I'd live with.  Will always write for my own sake.
